Thank you! Each and every one of you for making Safari Joe's a great place for the unwanted animals to
live out their lives. Your donations provide food, water, love and not to forget utilities. Many of the animals don't live in their natural climates so we have to provide the essentials to keep them comfortable. Wonderful people help provide exercise and cage/habitat cleanings daily. We are preparing for winter and the end of the year. Please don't forget us because your donations are tax deductible and winter expenses depend on how severe the winter months freeze. |

Safari Joe was in need of some lawn mowers. Through some generous donations, they enabled us to make arrangements for acquiring the lawn equipment we needed for the Sanctuary. To enable us to keep this equipment your continued support is important. Safari Joe’s Wildlife Sanctuary is a big place and during the summer there is a lot of grass to be mowed. Thank you for helping Safari Joe’s Sanctuary to be a clean environment for the animals. We also want to thank God for permitting us to do what we do to help our animals and to teach our children about the importance of our animals here in this planet. Once again thank you for your donations and we are looking forward for your support. Help us save the neglected and unwanted animals. |

In October we received 2 African Grey Parrots. They love to Whistleat the chickens and ducks, they even imitate the chickens, rooster and the ducks here at Safari Joe’s Reptile World. They are known as the smartest birds. The African Grey Parrots are found in the primary and secondary rainforest of West and Central Africa. The African Grey parrot can live up to 70 years of age and can grow up 13 in long. They are adorable to have as pets, but you have to have patience, because they can be very noisy.
New Animals at Safari Joe’s
2 African Grey Parrot
1 Military Macaw
1 goat
2 moon crabs
2 turtles
2 frogs
1 horse
3 Ball Pythons
Bearded Dragon
Pigmy Goat
Iguana
Alligator
Desert Tortoise named Cactus Jack.

Little Safari Joe knows who won the race, he's riding Shelly, the big su1cata tortoise. Also called the African Spur Thigh Tortoise, their species comes from the Sahara desert. They can dig into sand creating burrows 30" deep to survive the desert sun. They are the 3rd largest tortoise and the largest mainland tortoise (not on islands) alive today. They can live as long as 150 years. Shelly enjoys hanging out with her friends and eating veggies and fruits. I think she is LittleSafari Joe's favorite tortoise.
